West Fargo Public Schools Classified Staff of the Year š
Jen Volk, an administrative assistant at Legacy Elementary, has been recognized as the West Fargo Public Schools Classified Staff of the Year for 2025-26. Students, teachers, and family gathered to celebrate her dedication, describing her as the heart of the school and always one step ahead.

Highway Patrol Welcomes K9 Gary to the Team š¶
The North Dakota Highway Patrol has a new recruit, meet K9 Gary! The 8-week-old mantrailing bloodhound is partnered with Trooper Heisler and will be stationed in the Northeast Region of the state.
Gary is currently training for his role, where heāll assist in tracking missing or fleeing persons, aiding criminal investigations, and locating evidence. He joins a team of skilled K9/trooper duos dedicated to keeping North Dakota safe. For more details, read the full article here.
Concordia College Launches Womenās Flag Football Team š
Concordia College is making history with its first-ever womenās flag football team, joining a new collegiate league spearheaded by the Minnesota Vikings. The team held its first practice on March 18, with excitement building among players and coaches alike.
The Vikings, with support from the NFL, are providing $140,000 to help establish the league, which includes at least six NCAA institutions. Concordia will compete in jamborees throughout April, leading up to a championship tournament on April 26 at the Vikingsā headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota.
