Movie Theaters Make a Comeback After COVID 🎬

After facing significant challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, movie theaters are making a notable rebound. According to KVRR’s TJ Nelson, the box office, which plummeted from $11 billion in 2019 to just $2 billion in 2020, surged back to nearly $9 billion last year thanks to blockbusters like "Oppenheimer" and "Barbie." Greg Marcus, CEO of Marcus Theaters, acknowledged the hurdles of the pandemic and ongoing strikes but noted a strong recovery as audiences flock to theaters for major releases. Marcus Theaters, which ranks fifth in size among movie companies with 91 locations, continues to attract moviegoers with discounted ticket nights and $7 matinees for seniors and kids before 4 p.m. For more details, read the full article here.
