Good morning, Fargo-Moorhead! With sunshine on the horizon, it’s a great week to get out and enjoy the weather. Here’s what’s happening around town, and let’s make the most of these beautiful days ahead!
In today’s FM Scoop:
Journey of Honor 🏛️
Against All Odds 🍀
Stride for a Cure 💙
Here we go!
Scoops of the Day
A Capital Salute 🇺🇸
Local veterans from North Dakota and Minnesota took off from Fargo for a three-day Veterans Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., visiting sites like the WWII Memorial and National Museum of the U.S. Army. For many, it’s their first time in the nation’s capital—and for Vietnam vets like Gary and Joe Speidel, it’s a long-overdue moment of recognition after decades without a proper welcome home.
The trip is filled with touching stories, including a grandfather-grandson duo and a couple who met in the Army and have been married for 53 years. It’s a journey of honor, healing, and heartfelt thanks. The community is invited to welcome the veterans home Tuesday at the Fargodome. For more details, read the full article here.
Against All Odds ⛳
Brock Webber pulled off the near-impossible this weekend at Detroit Country Club, sinking a hole-in-one on the 18th hole of the Pine to Palm course—a par 4 from 356 yards out. It’s the first time in the course’s history that anyone has aced that hole, making it a truly once-in-a-lifetime shot.
With odds estimated at 6 million to 1, Webber’s incredible feat is one for the record books, and a moment he (and the course) won’t soon forget. For more details, read the full article here.
Walking with Hope 👟
Sunshine and community spirit came together at Rheault Farms for Fargo’s first-ever Team Hope Walk, supporting those affected by Huntington’s Disease. Hosted by the Northern Plains Chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, the event drew around 90 participants who walked, donated, and bid in a silent auction to raise both awareness and vital funds.
With no cure currently available for Huntington’s—a rare, progressive genetic disorder—organizers emphasized the importance of funding not just research, but also the support systems that patients and their families rely on. From neurologists to occupational therapists, the need is great—and this walk was a step in the right direction. For more details, read the full article here.

A Scoop of Hope
Striking a Chord for Lucas 🎷
The Fargo community came together this weekend to support 18-year-old Lucas Lamb, a resilient teen battling cancer who recently had his saxophone stolen. A benefit held at Kingpinz on Saturday was filled with laughter, bowling, and an overwhelming show of kindness for Lucas and his family.
Despite the hardships, Lucas continues to stay hopeful and grateful. Friends even shaved their heads in solidarity, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation is stepping in to replace his saxophone. “I’m hopeful for the future of people,” he said, reflecting the strength and positivity that has inspired so many around him.
