Golf Courses Opening This Weekend ⛳

Golf season is back! Village Green and The Meadows in Moorhead open for play this Saturday, April 12, with driving ranges ready to go starting Friday at 10 a.m. Tee times are first-come, first-serve, and cart availability will depend on weather.

Season passes are available at both pro shops or the Parks & Rec office. Hawley Golf and Country Club also opens Saturday at 8 a.m., with riding carts good to go. For more details, read the full article here.

Hole-in-One at the Masters 🏌️‍♂️

Fargo’s own Tom Hoge made a stunning hole-in-one at the 4th hole during the Masters Par 3 Contest on Wednesday. This marks his second career hole-in-one at the event, after winning last year with an impressive six-under performance.

Hoge teed off earlier today in the first round of the Masters and is set for the second round on Friday morning. His best finish at the Masters so far is a tie for 39th in 2022, and fans are excited to see what he’ll accomplish this year. For more details, read the full article here.

MSUM Launches New Honors College 🎓

Minnesota State University Moorhead is launching an Honors College to foster academic excellence across all disciplines. The program will offer transformative experiences and is backed by $1 million in scholarships, with 100 scholarships available annually.

Moorhead Toddler Returns After 156 Days of Treatment 💛

After spending 156 days in a Pittsburgh hospital battling the rare and life-threatening Krabbe Disease, 2-year-old Jalyn Wolford is finally home in Moorhead. Her arrival was met with cheers, hugs, and happy tears as friends and family filled the Fargo Jet Center to welcome her back.

Jalyn underwent a bone marrow transplant in January and still has a long road of recovery ahead, including various therapies at Sanford Hospital and at home. Her family, filled with gratitude and hope, is leaning on community support and keeping their focus on Jalyn’s progress—without setting limits on what she can achieve.
