Hunter Noor from the North Dakota Forest Service shared that the moisture brought by the snow is crucial for easing the dry conditions that fueled the fires. Cyber Champs of Tomorrow 💻

Fargo's middle schoolers took to the digital battlegrounds in the finals of the Cyber Madness Tournament, where six teams from five schools competed to prove their cybersecurity skills. The tournament, which blends fun with learning, had students tackle challenges in encryption, decryption, and network activity—skills typically reserved for adult professionals.

John Gieser, North Dakota’s K-12 IT Strategist, noted that the event was designed to engage students of all skill levels, offering opportunities to shine in areas like coding and game development. The competition not only tested their knowledge but also prepared them for future career paths in cybersecurity. Top-performing teams earned scholarships, which will be saved for their future college education. Hockey Heads Deep into Texas 🏒

In a historic first, the University of North Dakota (UND) hockey team will travel to Austin, Texas, for the 2026 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game. UND will face off against Michigan State on October 31, 2026, bringing a unique college hockey showdown to Longhorn country.

UND Athletics Director Bill Chaves expressed excitement, highlighting the event as a way to showcase UND’s hockey program and spirit to fans and students alike, deep in Texas. The lineup features an IPA and Cullen’s favorite, the “Hall of Fame Helles.” Each can showcases unique artwork with Cullen’s likeness, adding a personal touch to this limited-edition release.
