Let’s get the scoop started!
Scoops of the Day
Keep Your Packages Safe 📦
With holiday shopping in full swing, the Fargo Police Department is reminding residents to stay vigilant about package thefts. After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, your orders might soon be arriving, and unfortunately, so could potential "porch pirates."
Lieutenant Travis Moser advises having a plan for valuable deliveries—whether it's asking a neighbor to retrieve packages or scheduling deliveries for times when you're home. Last year alone, over 100 million packages were stolen nationwide. If you suspect a theft, report it immediately to the police. Timely reports help officers investigate and alert the community about suspicious activity. For more details, read the full article here.
Moorhead Seeks New Police Chief 👮♂️
The City of Moorhead is on the hunt for its next Police Chief following the upcoming retirement of Chief Shannon Monroe, who has served the department for over 30 years. With a population of nearly 45,000, Moorhead's Police Department has a $12.7 million budget and 81 full-time employees, including 62 sworn officers. In 2023 alone, the department handled over 32,500 calls for service. If you're seeking a rewarding law enforcement career, applications are now open! For more details, read the full article here.
