Ten students will graduate from the fifth annual West Fargo Peace Officer Academy on Thursday, August 20. The 14-week program combines physical fitness training with classroom instruction in areas like North Dakota criminal law and crime scene processing, preparing students to become licensed peace officers.

The graduation ceremony takes place at 11 a.m. at West Fargo High School. The program is a partnership between the West Fargo Police Department and Lake Region State College, with local law enforcement professionals helping train the next generation of officers.

Honor Flight Day at the Ballpark ⚾ - The RedHawks take on the Sioux Falls Canaries at Newman Outdoor Field for a special Honor Flight Day presented by American Crystal Sugar. Fans can also bid on special jerseys, with proceeds benefiting Honor Flight of ND/MN.

Rockin’ for the Honor Flight 🎸

Head to The Lights in West Fargo for a night of live music featuring .38 Special and The Mavericks, all while supporting Veterans Honor Flight of North Dakota/Minnesota. Concert promoter Ernest and Henning will donate at least $10,000 to the organization if 2,000 tickets are sold, with donations increasing up to $50,000 for a sold-out show.

The fundraiser will help replace about $30,000 worth of Honor Flight merchandise that was recently destroyed. Grab your tickets and enjoy a great night of music while helping local veterans!
